If you have had problems, just like everyone in your workplace, related to e-mail management, you have come to the right place. Mentioned here are three quick and easy steps that will keep you from going insane every time you open your inbox due the overwhelming number of mails pouring in.

  1. One of the simplest ways in which you can organize your inbox is by setting up folders. All you need to do is set up folders or labels with filters in your email client. This will automatically send mails from different senders into different folders. You will be amazed by how much clutter free your inbox will be once you do this. The unwanted emails will all be gone (into their respective folders) and you will be able to find those you need easily and quickly.
  2. Enabling conversation (or “threaded”) view in your email client is another great way to get rid of those many emails you wish would disappear from your inbox. Your inbox will have lots of free space as emails that are related to one conversation will all be found only under one “email” and you will have to push the delete button only once to make them all go away.
  3. There are some emails that take up too much of your time and there are some that can be dealt with in a matter of mere five minutes. If you take care of the latter ones often, you will spare yourself the stress and trouble of dealing with them in the future that could take hours. So if you have put them off for later, learn to take care of them right away.

These are among the many options you can take to remove clutter from your inbox. Follow them and you will definitely be free of all the management hassle.
